Delivering on time for Tauranga Crossing.

In April 2019, Tauranga Crossing opened its second and most impressive stage, 18,000sqm of enclosed retail space connected to the existing open-air retail centre which opened for business 18 months before.

With over 85 new shops, a vibrant two-level food and beverage precinct, Event V-Max cinema and H&M, Tauranga Crossing is the Bay of Plenty’s pre-eminent, award-winning regional shopping centre.

In a highly-competitive retail market, Tailor Inc provided several project services including Project Management and Retail Tenancy Delivery. The latter is an extensive coordination exercise that saw us integrate leasing and retail fit-out activities into the construction phase of the project.

We accomplished the Retail Tenancy Delivery to a strict programme in time for a successful grand opening, a rare feat these days but one for which Tailor Inc has become renown.

Whilst undertaking stage 1 works in 2017, Tailor Inc were invited to provide Project Management services for the design and construction of a large format retail premises to house several tenants on the development across the road from the Tauranga Crossing originally known as The Depot.

Gilmours
The facility comprised of a 4200m2 new build warehouse, with an affiliated loading dock, services roads and customer car park. Construction started end of 2017 and completed in mid-2018.

It was undertaken by Hawkins and Tailor Inc provided all PM services including managing the contract and fulfilling the role of Engineer to the Contract.

Farmers Home Store
AQ 4500m2 new build warehouse, with an affiliated loading dock, services roads and customer car park. All these comprised a stage 2 to the Gilmours Facility and continuation of car park and rear services lane.

Construction started in mid-2018 and completed in early 2019. Construction was undertaken by Hawkins and Tailor Inc provided all PM services including managing the contract and fulfilling the role of Engineer to the Contract.
